Albuquerque Studios Sees "In Plain Sight" as First Production at New Film Production Studio in New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico (Vocus) June 27, 2007 -- Albuquerque Studios is pleased to announce the first production to christen the newly opened film production studio. The Universal Media Studios series "IN PLAIN SIGHT" will start loading in on June 25th. The series stars Mary McCormack, Lesley Ann Warren, Frederick Weller, Todd Williams and Nicole Hiltz and is based on the witness protection program. The series Executive Producers are Paul Stupin and David Maples and Oscar Luis Costo is producer.

"We are extremely pleased and excited to have Universal Media Studios as our first client", stated Albuquerque Studios Executive Director, Jeremy Hariton. "We could not have asked for a better group to work with in launching the facility."

The show will be housed on the first and second floor of Building B and the sets will be located on Stage 4, a 24,000 square foot sound stage.

We're looking forward to working with them and in New Mexico on this project, and we appreciate all of their assistance in making it happen." said Katherine Pope, President, Universal Media Studios. "New Mexico is an important character in the series and we're very excited that a facility such as Albuquerque Studios is in place to make shooting there a reality."

Albuquerque Studios is a $74m state-of-the-art motion picture and television production facility and currently includes six sound stages with a combined total of 168,000 sq ft. Set on 28 acres at Mesa Del Sol, just minutes away from Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico. The studio also offers full production support facilities, 78,000 sq ft of film production offices, 70,000 sq ft of mill, storage and construction space and a vast back lot. The facility is a Pacifica Ventures company.

When Mayor Martin Chavez was told about "In Plain Sight" being the first production at Albuquerque Studios he said "We welcome all of the production team to Albuquerque and are so pleased that Universal Media Studios will be the first to work in this fine facility. We look forward to having all of you at the studio and in Albuquerque."
